IR grade polished barium fluoride (BaF2) dispersive prism 0.15-12um
Barium fluoride can be well applied in spectral components. Barium fluoride is typically suitable for applications in the passive IR band (8-14 μ m) and is commonly used as a window for thermal imaging. For the same thickness, the transmission range of calcium fluoride extends further to about 1mm in IR. Mainly used for IR applications, it is noted that windows with IR polishing may have limited transmission performance in VUVs made from low purity BaF2 crystals.
