Ultrafast photodetector Alphalas UPD 320-1700nm InGaAs/Si/Ge/GaAs
The UPD series ultrafast photodetector is suitable for measuring optical waveforms from DC to 25GHz. The rise time of various models is as short as 15ps, and the spectral range is from 170 to 2600nm. All photodetectors are enclosed in a compact and sturdy aluminum casing, which can be biased by batteries or external power sources. The UV extended version of the silicon photodetector is an excellent commercial product that covers the spectral range of 170 to 1100nm. Another type of Te UV sensitive InGaAs photodetector can be used to detect laser pulses in the range of 350 to 1700nm, thus having a wide spectral range and high commercially available speed.
