Xiaoxiao Photon's 1060nm SLD superluminescent diode is an ideal light source for fiber optic transmission systems, fiber optic gyroscopes, fiber optic sensors, optical coherence tomography, and optical measurements. The diode is packaged in a 14 pin standard butterfly package with a photodiode and thermoelectric cooler (TEC).

The DenseLight DL-CS2079A series is a broadband SLD that operates in an inherent superluminescent mode This superluminescent characteristic can generate a wider spectral bandwidth under higher current driving, while other traditional ASE based SLEDs will produce a narrower spectral bandwidth under higher current driving. Its low coherence reduces Rayleigh backscattering noise. In addition, with high power and wide spectral width, it cancels out the noise of the light receiver, improves spatial resolution (OCT) and measurement sensitivity (sensor). This 128nm SLED is a 14 pin butterfly package. It meets the requirements of Bellcore file GR-468-CORE.

Radiant light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor optoelectronic device located between laser diode (LD) and light emitting diode (LED). Similar to laser diode, superluminescent light-emitting diode is based on electrically driven pn junction. When forward biased, the pn junction has optical activity and generates amplified spontaneous emission over a wide wavelength range. The peak wavelength and intensity of SLD depend on the active material composition and injection current level. SLD is designed to have high one-way amplification for spontaneous emission generated along the waveguide, but unlike laser diodes, feedback is not sufficient to achieve laser action
